My go to breakfast. Been making this daily since grade 8 (2016). Super simple, energizing, tons of variants.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup water (1:3 ratio)
  • splash of milk (add at end)

Instructions Put oats + water in pot. Pick your vibe:

  • method A: boiling water → add oats → turn off heat
  • method B: cold water + oats → bring to boil → turn off heat
  • method C (lazy): bowl + microwave 1-2 min


Toppings Whatever’s in the fridge tbh

  • frozen berries (thawed) + peanut butter drizzle
  • banana: half before cooking (gets mushy, adds sweet), half after (fresh)
  • vanilla protein powder (mix in after cooking for gains)
  • cinnamon, honey, nuts, chocolate chips

Notes

  • dutch oats cook fast, kazakh oats are weird but work
  • check your oats label first time, then wing it
  • don’t cook in milk, unless you want to run awayayayayayya
  • protein powder: add off-heat or it clumps
  • I eye ball it, but keep 1:3 ratio (80g oats = 240ml water)
